ICADE & ICAI Congratulations!!

COVID19 Confinement April 14-30


Don't forget to include your name and surname in the title of the files you send me -Word docs only please-.
I will be available as usual during class hours for live Q&A sessions through Windows Teams so, by all means, time-zone permitting, do join us if you have any question! Final exam: see below!

ICAI C2.1: 

FYI: The "adenda a la guía docente" corresponding to the changes we've had to implement during this confinement period is now available under "introduction" on our Moodle page.
Final exam: it will consist of a 40min multiple-choice questionnaire on Moodle (i.e. "tipo test"). The exam will take place  on  the last day of class i.e. Monday, April 27 at 13:00 under "Examen final Jeanphi" on Moodle. A short mock exam entitled TRIAL is also available until Sunday, April 26, 20:00.You need to review everything we've covered -i.e. until p49 in your course book- with special emphasis on vocab and grammar / use of English (the error-correction activities we did, subjunctive, parallel structures, gradable & ungradable adjectives, possessives and gerunds -see here-) it will be 100% multiple-choice and you won't be penalized in case of wrong answer.
Here is the key to the first error-correction activity we did.  

April 14-17: Do the following error-correction activity (compiled from the mistakes in your writings) and send it to me by email (a picture will do). Due date: Monday, April 20. Here is the key to the second error correction activity (above)


April 20-24: Since the exam is only one week away, start revising everything we've covered so far (including the key to our second error correction activity) and do join our special Q&A session on the final exam on the TEAMS platform on Friday.


ICADE 3º E4:

Final exam: it will consist of a 40min multiple-choice questionnaire on Moodle (i.e. "tipo test"). The exam will take place  on  Monday, April 27 at 11:00 under "Examen final Jeanphi" on Moodle. A short mock exam entitled "TRIAL" is also available until tomorrow 6pm. You need to review everything we've covered with special emphasis on vocab from the book as well as from our supplementary activities (What unites us / Robotic dogs / Amazon / Apple 1, Apple 2, Greenwashing), the error-correction activities we did (nr1 and nr2), paraphrasing, inversions & collocations etc., use of English in Greenwashing), interview theory and company accounts.  It will be 100% multiple-choice and you won't be penalized in case of wrong answer.

ICADE BECS 2ºE2/E4: 

Final exam latest news: A TRIAL IS NOW AVAILABLE UNDER THE SAME SECTION ON MOODLE: EXAMEN FINAL JEANPHI / TRIAL.

Final exam: it will consist of a 40min multiple-choice questionnaire on Moodle (i.e. "tipo test"). The exam will take place  on  the last day of class i.e. Thursday, April 30 FROM 17:00 TO 17:50 so that everybody -whether in the US or the EU- can take the test at the same time. You need to review everything we've covered with special emphasis on vocab from our supplementary activities (1,2,3,4,5,6,6', 6''7,8,quizlets:1,2,3,4 + your own!) use of English (prepositions, paragraph writing, collocations and inversions: see here) the error-correction activities we did (1, 2) and all the business concepts we covered.  It will be 100% multiple-choice and you won't be penalized in case of wrong answer. 
April 14-17: Do the following error-correction activity (compiled from the mistakes in your writings). Due date: Tuesday, April 21. Here is the key. Make sure you study it thoroughly.


Read another 100 pages of Shoe Dog (up to 75%) and complete the template. Due date: Tuesday, April 21.

April 20-24: Finish Shoe Dog and complete the last template (task 1). Group writing (task 2): write a 400-word min essay on ONE of the following topics (Due date for both tasks: Monday, April 27):

A: In what way has this book changed your understanding of setting up a company? Which pieces of advice are worth following according to you? Would you consider setting up your own company?.... 
 
B: Travis has just read the book and gives his father a call. Write the dialogue. 

C: Year 2000, Wallace the banker has just retired and now has a lot of time on his hands... He decides to write Buck a letter. Write the letter.
